MATTHEW PAPER, DDS

Dr. Paper is proud to call Maryland home. A Baltimore native, he began his academic journey at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a degree in Marine Biology before discovering his passion for dentistry. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.

After practicing general dentistry in Middletown and then joined Allegany Dental Care in 2011. Dr. Paper knew he wanted to build something of his own—something rooted in relationships, trust, and community. In 2012, he purchased the Glenelg practice and has been caring for local families ever since.

For Dr. Paper, dentistry is about more than just teeth—it’s about people. He takes pride in getting to know his patients, helping them feel comfortable, and making sure they leave with confidence in their smiles. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association, and he’s committed to staying up to date with the latest techniques and technology to provide the best care possible.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Paper enjoys spending time with his wife, their three sons, and their two goldendoodles. He also loves to travel and has been fortunate to combine that passion with giving back. Through volunteer work with Operation Smile, he has provided dental care to children in Vietnam, and during a trip to Tanzania, he delivered much-needed dental supplies to an orphanage near Serengeti National Park. Closer to home, he supports patients in need through the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry’s Donated Dental Services Program.
