No More Mercury

Even though mercury-containing amalgam restorative materials have repeatedly been found to be safe and effective, we have made a decision to be a mercury-free practice. When we ask 100 patients whether they would rather have a decayed or fractured tooth restored with a gray material or one which matches the color or their natural teeth, you can imagine that 100 out of 100 request tooth-colored. Over the past several years, the improvements in dental composites and porcelains have reached the point that we are comfortable restoring teeth with these latest generation materials. Marginal seals are excellent. Post-treatment sensitivity is minimal. The esthetics are beautiful.
